Ipsy Roundup!! (May+June)

Hey guys! I hope you're all doing well. I missed last month's Ipsy bag, so I thought I would just throw it in with this month's. Better late than never, right? :) Lately, I've been really impressed with the quality of the Ipsy bags- I've started seeing more higher-end products and well-known brands being sampled in them, and that's been super exciting.

We'll go ahead and start with this month's first.

1) It Cosmetics Brow Power Universal Eyebrow Pencil ($24)- While I am ALWAYS more than excited to receive a brow product, I didn't find myself instantly in love with this one. It may be because I'm a recent pomade convert, but this pencil just didn't give me the strong brow that I was hoping for. Additionally, even though the color is described as "universal" I felt like it was just a little too light for my black eyebrows. All in all, I think this would be an awesome product for someone who likes a more natural brow, but for right now, I'm gonna put it aside. We'll see, I do have a tendency to come back for Ipsy products later!

2) Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer ($36 for a full size)- I had tried the hydrating primer from Smashbox in the past and ADORED it, so I was very happy to see a sample of the regular primer in my Ipsy bag. It's timing was impeccable as well; I recently got to thinking that I really should be using a primer with my foundation, instead of just slapping it on my bare skin while I was barely awake at 7:30 in the morning. It is quite a small sample, but I know I already love the brand, so it's just nice to have!!

3) BioRepublic Sheet Mask Trio ($14.95)- I love sheet masks!!! They're so refreshing and lovely. I haven't had the opportunity to try these ones out, but I love that they sent one of each, and they look promising! I'll be sure to let you know how I get on with them!!

4) Formula X Nail Polish in the shade Power Source ($10.50 for a full size)- This is a hot coral shade, which is super fun for this time of year, though not something I would typically go for! I did only receive a mini, but for this particular shade, that's completely fine with me- I never seem to get through all my nail polish anyway!!

5) tre'StiQue Color and Smudge Shadow Crayon in the shade Marimoto Pink Pearl ($26 for a full size)- First of all, this has to be some of the cutest packaging I've ever seen in my life. When I first pulled it out of my Ipsy bag, I was so tripped out! You pull off the "pencil" top to reveal the shadow stick underneath. The shade is described as a nude pink shimmer, but I would definitely call it more of a champagne. It's very subtle, but is really creamy to apply. I think I'll definitely be getting a lot of use out of this, it's such a great color for everyday wear!

And a quick shot of my May bag! Sorry :(

This physical bag was definitely one of my all time favorites I've ever received from Ipsy, and it now lives in my purse. I was sent Urban Decay Lip Pencil (sample size, full size $16), an eyeliner from BellaPierre ($6.99) which I actually spoke about in my May favorites (post here!), a pixi bronzer (which I don't believe you can buy individually), a brush from Luxi beauty ($12), and a BB cream from Cotz ($19.99 for a full size).

And that was it!! I hope you guys enjoyed this post and I'll be back to talk to you real soon!

Much love, stay beautiful!
- Whitney
